Associated Press freelance producer BANDOS KINKI visited Tanabe on June 2 to cover rice planting at Bocu restaurant in Chikatsuyu, Nakahechi village. The Tanabe City Kumano Tourism Bureau helped with the organization and support of this endeavor.

Bocu is a Macrobiotic restaurant based in a renovated farm house along the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage routes.

They produce most of their own food included rice, which is grown in the rice paddies surrounding the restaurant.

It was a wet and dirty job, but the filming went smoothly and was a great success.
