On February 4th, the Tanabe City Kumano Tourism Bureau and Turismo de Santiago de Compostela held a press conference outlining their joint promotion project at the Mitsuo Aida Museum in Tokyo. Tanabe City and Santiago de Compostela city has many things in common including being a sacred destination of World Heritage Pilgrimage Routes.
Approximately 40 Japanese media gathered for this event which included a joint presentation and Q&A session.
Part of our promotion project is a joint website currently available in three languages: Spanish, English and Japanese
Flavia Ramil, Turismo de Santiago de Compostela’s Manager of Tourism and Promotion, enthusiastically stated “I am sure this is a great opportunity for both cities to have a mutually positive impact on our cultural and historical heritage, which will attract many high quality tourists from around the world.”
Thank you very much to all those that helped put this press conference together.
