I really appreciate the site and the tourism bureau. The mails I had with the staff about hotel reservation were very clear and helpful. Thereby the reaction time was fast. And I was really pleased by the help we got at the Tanabe City Tourism Bureau. People went out of their way to help us! When the staff had difficulty helping us in English, colleagues were called for help and they rushed to the bureau to help us out. What a service! And the leaflets about Kumano Kodo are really clear and informative. Had a great time at Tanabe and surroundings, thanks a lot!!!

You guys offer the best service of any tourist bureau we have ever used - anywhere.  We can't thank you enough.  Before the trip, your online information and booking service was outstanding as was your assistance in confirming the bookings.  The information package you provided at our Ryokan was extremely helpful and your recommendations on the itinerary were really helpful.  Tanabe needs to thank you guys for the wonderful job you do in giving visitors such positive experiences of the area.

Thank you ever so much for all your help!  It was because of you we could realise our plan of a walk in Japan. I will recommend both the walk, the Tanabe Tourist Bureau and you, to my friends here in Sweden.

Excellent experience.
This was my second trip to Japan. Your site is much easier to use than most japanese sites. The PDF route maps are great. The detailed info about bus and train schedules and routes very useful.

The Tanabe City Kumano Tourism Bureau website already provides a lot of very helpful information, e.g. timetables, updated information re: road closures, sightseeing info, coin locker info. It's easily the most helpful regional tourism site I've ever used over 4 visits to Japan.

Manseiro Ryokan has joined the Kumano Travel community!

Manseiro Ryokan is a located on the edge of Katsuura Bay across from the tourist pier, within walking distance of the Kii-Katsuura station.  The building itself is older but the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable.  The traditional Japanese Kaiseki meals, with a focus on fresh local products, is a highlight of a stay at Manseiro.  There are both Japanese and Western style rooms.  There are hot spring baths in the facility, but guests can also take the ferry across to the neighboring Hotel Urashima and soak there for free, including the famous Bokido onsen cave bath overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
